About the Artist, Michael Evers

Michael Evers began his creation of celebrity portraits in the early 1980's. Having the opportunity to watch & learn from the talented KEITH HARING as he created his now famous New York City subway murals, Michael began working on his own style of portraiture. Using the simplicity of Haring's lines, the beauty of Warhol's color and the written word of Basquiat, Michael Evers has developed his own unique style of personality portraiture. He has had the opportunity to meet with many of his famous subjects who have signed many of the portraits thus making their signatures a part of the original piece.

Michael lives in New York City with his pugs, Lilly & Hannah and a cat named Eartha.

With the creation of The Michael Evers Gallery his work has been sold and displayed throughout the world.
