Welcome to the Fictional Group Story Gallery

Students were each given a picture and asked to write one line about the picture to start a story. They then passed each picture to the student next to them and another line was added by that student. This went on until the picture ended up back with the original student who began the story. They were then asked to end the story with one line and come up with a title.

Below are the stories which developed.

Pooch with a Mission

By Ted T. and Company

My four legged best friend.

He was very playful but got into trouble sometimes.

I must be careful not to step on such a small creature.

My owner feels guilty if they injure adorable me.

So may I have a cookie please?

If you give me a cookie I will roll over and play dead and go to sleep on my bed.  If not I’ll poop on whom ever tries to be nice to me.

Even though I’m young, I still want to be the head of the household.

I can try to be taught with use of a good treat - so pass one on please.

I want my name to be Tiger!!

And Tiger wants another cookie please!

Shut up Tiger and go to your bed.

Hey, I’m cute and a Communist.

Friends at Work

By Jim C. and Company

Joe Williams was standing talking to Barbara White.

The topic was about a serious business matter.

I hope it was talking business and not just socializing.

Joe looks mad, and Barbara seems surprised and unhappy.

However the two are friends so it surely is not going to get heated.

He says his name is Julio and he’s a male secretary

who types 377 words per minute.

I hope Joe doesn’t have any feelings for Barbara and

that there’s no sexual tension in the office.

Joe and Barbara need to get back to the topic of the matter.

Joe and Barbara need to get back to work or they will be in trouble.

Though maybe it’s lunchtime and they are deciding where to go.

They are debating the options of where to go.

Should they go out of the company cafeteria?

I’m going outside to think about my girlfriend.

Her birthday is in two weeks.

I think we should go out to a restaurant where it’s more private,

so we can celebrate your birthday.

At the office, we work well together and we're really good friends.

I hope we stay that way.

The Wandering Fish

By Suzanne C. and Company

The art of cooking class is about creating the perfect fish dinner.

A citrus sauce, heavy olive oil and beans are used as well.

The fish is a salmon.

The seafood restaurant that I’m at cooks salmon really good, including lemon and olive oil.

This fish not only looks and tastes good, it also goes well with side dishes.

Salmon swim against the current to deposit eggs and die.

But it still looks like bait to me.

I prefer a good old fashioned steak over fish.

I want a cheeseburger, french fries and a seven up.

I don’t think this is the place for me.

Seafood isn’t my cup of tea.

So stick with the french fries!

I don’t think I look appetizing!

But wine, lemons and seasoning can make anything taste good.

Tommy Smith's Recovery

By Rich K. and Company

I'm not feeling very well today.

I’m sick and can’t go to school.

Can I have something for my tummy ache?

Yeah! I get to not go to school and watch television instead.

The nurses all are on roller skates and have flowers in their hair.

Tommy Smith is only seven years old and the doctors are trying to find out what’s wrong with his stomach.

Perhaps it’s the food in the hospital and nothing else is wrong with Tommy.

But at least I didn’t have to take the test today.

I’m tired can I take a nap?

And can I get some Alka Seltzer and jello for my tummy.

Alka Seltzer makes "plop-plop fizz-fizz oh what a relief it is."

I’d like a bag of pretzels and juice.

The nurse is really pretty, with blond hair and she’ll bring you something to cheer you up.

I wonder what the nurse will be bringing me.
